Feeding your chakras

This year I set an intention to be more mindful of the food I put into my body. I’m not a nutritionist but I’m lucky to work alongside two fantastic holistic nutritionists at the @cestlaviewellness clinic who have been sharing their knowledge with me.

As I’ve been learning Reiki with Helen she has been sharing how food can help balance the energy we hold in our bodies. And teaching me how to feed each of the chakras; both spiritually and nutritionally.

So I’m sharing some of the foods that best feed each chakra:

❤️ Feeding your root chakra helps ground and nourish your foundation. Look for root vegetables and clean protein. Include red foods like bell peppers, beets, tomatoes, cherries, strawberries and raspberries.

🧡 Feeding your sacral chakra feeds your centre of pleasure and creativity. Orange foods like mangoes, pumpkins, sweet potatoes and oranges are perfect.

.

💛 When you feed your solar plexus you awaken the true essence of your being. Go for yellow foods like squash, bell peppers, bananas, pineapple, turmeric and ginger.

.

💚 Your heart chakra craves green food to bring balance and radiate love. Look for broccoli, spinach, apples, kiwi, avocados and parsley.

.

💙 Feed your throat chakra with blue foods to bring balance for free and true communication. Blackberries, blueberries, and blue corn are great options.

.

💜 Your third eye is all about intuition, imagination and awareness. It craves purple foods like eggplant, plums, grapes and purple kale.

.

🤍 Feed the crown chakra with water, and detoxifying foods that are high in antioxidants (complex carbs, clean proteins, and good fat sources. This will help awaken your higher consciousness and awareness.
